Do you like bikes, food, music, beer, racing, baseball, or any combination of the above? Then we have some events for you!

Join us this Friday, June 29, for a pub roll around downtown Arlington.  We’ll start at Fuzzy’s at 6:00, head to the Levitt to see the Burning Hotels, and then cruise around to some local bars for more fun on bikes! Facebook event.

On Saturday, July 21st, at 2pm, we will be holding a Goldsprints fundraiser at Hooligan’s pub: two racers race stationary track bikes head-to-head for 500 m while the crowd cheers them on! Come out to win the tournament, challenge a friend, or just to enjoy the show. Good time guaranteed. Facebook event.

On Friday, August 10th, BFA will head to the Rangers game for dollar hot dog night and fireworks! Facebook event.

And don’t forget about the 4th of July Parade next week! Facebook event.

Thanks for biking the vote last month.

Congratulations to Mrs. Capehart (D2), Mr. Shephard (D6), Mr. Bennett (D7), and Mr. Glaspie (D8) on their electoral victories.

But wait… It’s not over for those in District 1.

There’s a runoff between Mr. Charlie Parker and Mr.  Bill Verkest.

At a Glance are the candidates bike friendly?

Charlie Parker – No

Bill Verkest – Yes

Vote tomorrow (Saturday June 23rd) if you haven’t already

Polling places are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In total, there are six voting locations in District 1.

We think there should be a bike limbo competition instead of an election, but our calls to the city secretary’s office were never returned.low rider
